For the week of May 12-18th
The 2025 crop is in the ground! This is the earliest that I can ever recall we are done – two weeks to get the crop in!
Each year has its own unique circumstances- this year we had no weather delays and pretty much all straight passes with no water to go around. We also had very little downtime. That speaks volumes to the exceptional crew we had once again. We go through everything thoroughly prior to seeding season and make sure that we have a good supply of parts on hand for anything that we think may need replacing.
Can’t say enough about the staff again this seeding season – everyone is always ready to lend a hand when ever and where ever. A true team makes the difference for an enjoyable season and fun environment.
The topsoil is getting dry – we had to lower our seed dept at seeding to make sure we planted into moisture. Also increased our packing pressure to help and seal it off. Subsoil moisture should be good (not sure yet, just had our soil probes installed recently but not reporting) – but you still need enough moisture to get the seed germinated, so it can access the moisture down below.
