More Delays, Going Again Now

For the week of September 15th – 21st

The weather has been anything but favorable for havesting these past few weeks. We had heavy fog on most mornings with a steady mist as well. Cool and cloudy days didn’t help.

We finally got back into the fields and took of about 1,000 acres of canola – all of which will have to be dried. Got back into the wheat again afterwards and even though testing high moisture it is good to be getting it into the bin. Quality looks to still be favorable for milling purposes – which was our biggest concern.

The grain dryer is proving to be the most valuable piece of equipment once again this harvest. Close to 80% has been or will be run through the dryer of what we harvested to date.

Forecast looks promising for the next week – let’s hope it verifies!
