We were supposed to be moving this off the combine but grain terminal couldn’t take it then, so three weeks later we are extracting from grain bag to haul in.

We run a vertical tillage unit over our cereal stubble after we heavy harrow to help work some of the straw in but leaves 60-70% of the stubble intact.
Also helps break apart some compaction layers below.
Last year we didn’t use due to the drought but the previous 4 years we did and have noticed a much better seedbed for planting canola in the next year

After the rain we just got going again in straight cut canola. Testing close to dry.

Planting Invigor 233P canola May 25th 2022 with 620 Case pulling 86’ Bourgault 3335 and 91300 cart.

Seedbed is optimum moisture which is nice to see after dry seeding the last 3 springs

Another year with a flea beetle outbreak - spraying only 2 weeks after planting. Flea beetles having a feast on our canola that’s only at cotyledon stage.

Filling seed and fertilizer at night on our Bourgault 91300 cart. Conveyor is fast on these new carts, can fill in 20 minutes.
Especially nice with the extra light package.

We use Wilson tridem trailers - 3 compartment. That way we only need one trailer to fill. For cereals:
Front Hopper - Nitrogen
Middle Hopper - Phosphate / Potash blend (MESZ + K)
Back Hopper - Seed

Yield is decent - keeping both grain carts busy! We are putting this in grain bags and delivering to grain terminal in late October
