We finally had a major thunderstorm move through the whole farm last week. It dropped between 30-90mm across our land base. This is a major positive event for us as it has had a good recharge of our soil moisture. In fact, two of the three weather stations show a full recharge of the soil

The good news is we did finally get some significant moisture totals on our north land (south land received less), but it did come with a major hail storm. We ended up with between 40-60mm last week up north and 20-25mm down south – this is welcome and appreciated, even though it is the middle

Harvest was slow this past week with periodic showers slowing down progress. We didn’t get any large amounts of rain – seems like we are still dealing with shortfalls from what is forecasted – we ended up with around 8-10mm through all the showers that we had last week. The good news is the barley
